matter, my friend. I will try to be as respectful and courteous as I can, but I'm angry and this is why:

A criminal suit may be filed shortly by my client, Kat Lonergan, whose site I designed. she is a native american spiritualist (shaman). Black Bear Visions is sending slanderous emails to my colleagues in the designers guilds I'm a member of, and the artists who have contributed artwork to kat's site in an effort to have them remove their works from the site.

Removal of their work would mean redesigning the site. The following is only an excerpt of a letter sent to my artist friend and forwarded to me. Kat is preparing a slander suit, and I will be following right behind her if just one more person associated with out site informs us of any contact from bear visions. If you are the person doing this, look at this as a preview of what's to come if you don't knock it off.

I take my web design talents and business very seriously, I conduct my business with integrity and I am respected in my field. I will not stand for any actions by anyone that might threaten my reputation. This is cyberterrorism. I will not stand for religious or politically motivated agendas to interfere with my clients or my reputation as a top-notch designer. Whether I believe in a client's subject or the way they do business is no one's business. I design because I'm an artist. I believe in freedom of speech on the web, a website is someone's personal property and he/she may use it as she wishes to promote his/her beliefs, unless it's hateful, prejudiced, violent or porn-oriented. Makes no difference to me. No one tells me who to design for and how to do it. I happen to enjoy the beauty and spirituality conveyed by kat and her site - it's spectacular, if

I say so myself, and she has the support of many native americans in her endeavors - and it's not offensive to the native americans in any way that we can see.

If this site has to be redesigned, bear visions will be made responsible for monetary compensation to me for redesign, to me for loss of income because I have to set my other clients aside to redo this site, there will be monetary damages to kat for mental anguish, slander and loss of income. we have already filed a complaint with aol about someone using their email system to slander my client.

Sorry to be so bombastic this morning, but freedom of speech on the web is one of my things and I will roll over anyone who takes personal shots at me or my clients for their rights to express themselves in a respectful and tasteful manner. At the next email I receive from a client, associate or anyone associated with this site, you will hear from us again.
